How long have you been in business?
Star Oil Co. Started it's operations in January of 1991
What is your primary product or service?
We are a family owned Heating oil, diesel fuel and off road diesel fuel dealer. We also offer Service contracts to our customers, Budget plans and auto delivery
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I immigrated to the United States in 1969,and started working for Delta Electric, in 1976 opened my first business "Tonys Electric" servicing the New Bedford fishing fleet. In 1984 was time for a change, that's when I started "Tonys Marine Supplies", again serving the New Bedfor Fishing industry. In 1991 I finally settled down. I started and operated Star Oil of New Bedford until 2007.
Now I'm retired, my youngest daughter Cathy and her husband Jason are running the business
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I'm probably not too different from other people in my line of business. I was allways dedicated to my business, fare with prices, prompt with the oil deliveries, honest, and allways ready to help my clients with questions and sugestions.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have one location in New Bedford, Massachusetts. As far as expansion, you never know what the future holds.

Our offices are located on 228 Rokdale Av. in New Bedford.
From points North, take route 140 to left on rt. 6, take a right at the lights on Rockdale ave, and about 1 mile down on the left side.

Summer- (April-September)Mon,Tue,Thur and Friday from 7:30AM to 3PM
Winter-(Oct-Mar) Monday-Friday from 7AM to 4PM and Sat.7Am to 12 noon
